"Satya-The Truth, word is a part of several Vedic scriptures including Yoga philosophy. The Yoga sutra which depicts Truth is:
"Ahimsa satya-estesha brahamcharya-parigriha yamah." (Yog Sutra, 2/30). From sutra we observe there are five yamas and satya is second. The other four are ahimsa (non violence, non injury), estey (non stealing), brahmcharya (celibacy) and parigraha (non greed, control of desires). The yama term come from another sutra: "Yama niyam-asana pranayama pratyahara dharna dhyan samadhyo-ashtav-angani." (Yoga Sutra, 2/29) To elaborate, yama is the first limb of the Ashtang Yoga. Briefly it means that one should adopt a code of discipline and ethics so that one can better survive and interact in its society. Through yama one reforms its relations in the social conduct, also it restraints too and opens the passage towards yoga. If anyone who understands the social behaviour becomes the traveller on the path of yoga. From the point of view of yoga the truth is a powerful social aspect of human life. To be a winner of his own consciousness and be a shining emblem in the society the path of truth will lead you to the supreme awareness.
